Who we are
ShotDock is made and sold by Exdoo TI S. de R.L. de C.V. (“Exdoo”, “we”), a company based in Mexico. Contact: hola@exdoo.mx.
Free trial
You can use every feature free for 14 days, with no account. When the trial ends, ShotDock asks you to buy a licence.
The licence
- The personal licence is a one-time payment and does not expire. One key can be activated on up to 3 Macs that you use. To move it to another Mac, release the old one from Settings › Licence.
- Commercial use is allowed. Team and company licences cover the number of Macs agreed when they are bought.
- Updates are delivered inside the app at no extra cost while we keep publishing them. We cannot promise any particular future feature, nor that new versions will support every older macOS version.
- The licence lets you use ShotDock; it does not transfer ownership of the software. You may not share your key publicly, resell it, or modify or reverse-engineer the app to get around the licence or the cloud’s limits.
Payment and refunds
- Prices are in US dollars and payment is processed by Stripe. Any taxes or bank charges in your country are added where applicable.
- Because you can try everything first, sales are normally final. Even so, if ShotDock does not work on your Mac as described, write to us within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund you. A refund or a chargeback deactivates the key.
- Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer protection law that applies to you.
ShotDock cloud
- What is included: during the trial you can upload anything, video included, within its limits; with the licence, up to 5 uploads a day, kept for 30 days.
- The yearly plan ($19 a year, bought from Settings › Upload) removes the daily cap, includes 25 GB of storage and video, and lets you choose how long each link lasts (7, 30, 90 or 365 days). It renews automatically every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by writing to hola@exdoo.mx; the plan stays active until the date already paid and is not refunded for the remaining part of the year.
- When the yearly plan ends, the cloud goes back to what the licence includes and anything already uploaded stays until its own expiry date.
- Files expire and are deleted automatically. The cloud is for sharing, not for keeping a copy: keep the originals on your Mac.
- We may change the cloud’s limits or prices for future periods; you will see the change before paying again. If we ever had to shut the cloud down, we would give at least 60 days’ notice and refund the unused part of active yearly plans. The app and your licence would keep working.
Your content and acceptable use
- What you capture and upload is yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it and serve it through its link until it expires.
- You are responsible for what you upload and share. Do not use the cloud for anything illegal, for malware, for content that sexualises minors, for harassment, or for material that infringes someone else’s rights, and do not use it as general file hosting.
- We may remove files and suspend cloud access for licences that break these rules or receive valid legal complaints. Report abuse to hola@exdoo.mx.
Third-party services
If you use your own bucket (Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, MinIO and others), that provider’s terms and charges apply and are your responsibility.
Warranty and liability
We work hard for ShotDock to work well, but it is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will be free of errors or available without interruption. To the extent the law allows, Exdoo will not be liable for indirect damages or loss of data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
Ending the licence
You can stop using ShotDock whenever you want. We may deactivate a licence that was refunded, charged back, obtained fraudulently or used in serious breach of these terms.
Privacy
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, and the competent courts of Mexico will hear any dispute, without prejudice to any consumer rights you have where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version and its date are always on this page. Changes do not take away what you already paid for.
